Several strategies have been implemented to create a more accessible Redcliffe KiteFest. Our entire precinct will be accessible with the exception of some activations and rides.
Below is a breakdown of some ways that Redcliffe KiteFest has implemented accessibility and inclusivity strategies. For a full list of FAQs, please visit our page here.
Limited accessible parking will be available for permit holders near the main entry gate, accessible along Hornibrook Esplanade. Please show traffic controllers your permit upon entry. There will also be a designated drop off zone here for those not looking at parking for the event. Additional parking once this area is full is available offsite (to be advised closer to the date) where our wheelchair & pram friendly free shuttle service will be operating.
Redcliffe KiteFest has arranged for a FREE event shuttle bus service. All shuttle buses are wheelchair and pram friendly. Details on this service can be found HERE.
Wheelchair and pedestrian ramps have previously been installed throughout the event site in areas with limited access. There will also be space available near stage entertainment for wheelchairs and those with mobility vehicles.
There will be wheelchair accessible toilets available at the festival.
Interpreting services will be provided during some stage entertainment shows. Check out our full program for list of shows with these services.
This event is a pet-free space, however guided & service dogs are more than welcome at the festival.
Parent rooms with change tables, a microwave and private feeding area will be available for parents to use in the KiteFest Kidz zone.
The KiteFest Kids zone will feature a dedicate Quiet Zone where patrons can get away from the hustle and bustle of the festival.
